Last week, Spike Chunsoft announced the finale of the Danganronpa 10th anniversary celebrations with the release date announcement for the highly anticipated Danganronpa V3: Killing Harmony Anniversary Edition on iOS and Android that was set to release on May 26th worldwide. This follows Danganronpa: Trigger Happy Havoc ($15.99) and Danganronpa 2: Goodbye Despair ($15.99) on iOS and Android that remain the best way to play and experience these stories despite a few issues with the ports. Check out my reviews of them here and here. Today, Spike Chunsoft announced a delay for Danganronpa V3: Killing Harmony Anniversary Edition. This is because an issue was discovered during the final round of checks for the game on iOS and Android. Watch the Steam trailer for the game below:
Spike Chunsoft is working to resolve this as soon as possible as mentioned in the official announcement Tweet. Danganronpa V3: Killing Harmony Anniversary Edition doesn’t have a confirmed release date as of this writing. Hopefully it makes it to iOS and Android in a few weeks at most. I was definitely looking forward to replaying it and seeing the superlative ending. If you’ve not followed the Danganronpa Anniversary Editions, they include an updated interface, gallery mode, touchscreen controls, and more. So far, the biggest problems with the Danganronpa games on iOS and Android so far are the lack of controller support and cloud saves. Barring those, I can’t recommend the Anniversary Edition releases enough. Danganronpa V3: Killing Harmony will have a release date announced in the near future once Spike Chunsoft can resolve the issue discovered. Until it releases, you can play Danganronpa: Trigger Happy Havoc and its sequel on iOS and Android. Check out the official website for the mobile ports here and our forum thread for the games here and here.
